Berthed on the Hudson River in Manhattan, the museum boasts educational exhibits and exciting events. Building on the long and distinguished history of the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid, the Museum provides a glimpse back to a time when the future of the free world hinged on these great ships.
The Intrepid Museum Complex boasts new exhibits, interactive elements, newly opened areas of the ship and a completely restored aircraft collection, all along side the former USS Growler submarine and British Airways Concorde. Her home at Pier 86, open to the public, has also been completely renovated and now features a welcoming, park-like atmosphere.
The new Intrepid Museum is a unique journey through spectacular interactive exhibits and virtual, multi-sensory technology. Located at the new, park-like Pier 86, the complex boasts 30 restored aircraft, the former USS Growler submarine and the British Airways Concorde. The Intrepid Museum is a dynamic adventure for visitors of all ages.
Space Shuttle Pavilion
(Temporarily closed and currently not included in admission.)
Intrepid's newest exhibit, the Space Shuttle Pavilion has been engineered to express the shuttle program's stories of human triumph and technological feats. Dare to dream as you become immersed in this up close experience with Space Shuttle Enterprise
Within the Intrepid Museum’s Space Shuttle Pavilion, Enterprise sits just 10 feet off the ground, allowing visitors to walk directly underneath this historic artifact, while an elevated viewing platform allows guests to gain even greater perspective
The Flight Deck

Get a up-close look at nearly two dozen aircraft, visit the restoration tent and take a walk through history on Intrepid's island and bridges. The Intrepid Sea Air Space Museum has the most varied and unique aircraft collections in the nation. All four branches of the United States' armed service are represented, as well as several distinctive aircraft from around the world. From the Avenger torpedo bomber, a stalwart from Intrepid’s World War II service, to the A-12 Blackbird, the redoubtable spy plane from the Cold War, the collection reflects some of the greatest achievements in military aviation.
The Concorde
See the Concorde the only operational supersonic passenger transport in the world.
The Concorde crossed the Atlantic flying at speed upto 1,350 mpg. The Concorde would arrive in under three hours, or less than half the time of any other jetliner flying that route today.

October 1st through March 31st: Tuesday - Sunday 10am-5pm (Closed Mondays)
April 1st through September 30th: Monday-Friday 10am-5pm; Saturday, Sunday & Holidays 10am-6pm

Due to damage from Hurricane Sandy, the following are not currently open or available at the Museum: the Welcome Center, which includes the retail store in the complex, the Space Shuttle Pavilion, which includes the display of Space Shuttle Enterprise, and audio tour rentals.
