Free Summer Concerts in New York City

"Good Morning America's" sizzling 2016 Summer Concert Series returns Rumsey Playfield in New York City's Central Park, where music’s biggest names will perform live every Friday. GMA's Concert Series lineup is filled with an exciting and eclectic mix of all the hottest and biggest names in music today.
It all kicks off Friday, May 22, with Jessie J, live in concert in Central Park. The UK-born singer and songwriter will perform her blockbuster anthem “Bang Bang” and more of her No. 1 hits for the audience. Music super stars Nicki Minaj, Jason Derulo, Ed Sheeran, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, 5 Seconds of Summer, and more chart-topping artists will take to the “GMA” stage all summer long. See the full lineup below and get ready to make your Fridays even better with "GMA."

All concerts are free and open to the public and will take place live during "Good Morning America," Fridays from 7-9am Eastern Time

Viewers interested in joining "GMA" in Central Park are encouraged to arrive at Rumsey Playfield via the 72nd street entrance on Fifth Avenue at 6am when the park opens to the public.  More details about the GMA concert series

Citi Concert Series on the Today Show2016 Citi Concert Series on The Today Show
For the 21st year in a row, we're bringing the hottest hit-makers to Rockefeller Plaza. Fans and visitors are encouraged to join us on the plaza for the live performances, every Friday morning. Viewing is on a first-come, first-served basis outside TODAY's window-on-the-world studio, located at 49th Street and Rockefeller Plaza. Fans should arrive by 6am for best viewing.

The FOX and Friends All American Summer Concert Series is held outside of FOX studios at 1211 Avenue of the Americas, on the corner of 48th Street and 6th Avenue.


Metropolitan Opera Concert Series in NYC2016 Metropolitan Opera's Summer Recital Series
The Met’s free concert series in New York City parks of all five boroughs returns Wednesday, June 22 at Central Park SummerStage, with an evening of favorite arias and duets. Rising soprano Angel Blue—who will make her Met debut in a future season—is joined by two young Met stars, tenor Ben Bliss and baritone Alexey Lavrov, and pianist Dan Saunders. The same artists will perform two nights later at Brooklyn Bridge Park. The July concerts feature soprano Michelle Bradley, tenor Kang Wang, and baritone Yunpeng Wang—all three members of the Met’s Lindemann Young Artist Development Program—accompanied by Saunders.
