Bronx Zoo U.S. Military Discount Program
The Bronx Zoo offers year-round discounts to any active duty or reserve members of the U.S. Military when they present a valid military ID at the admissions gate. Discounted tickets are available at the admissions booths only, not through our online ticket store.
Discount includes: FREE Total Experience Ticket or General Admission ticket*
50% discount for up to three family members included on the same admissions transaction.*
*Military discounts are not applicable on Wednesdays at the Bronx Zoo or on Fridays after 3:00 p.m. at the New York Aquarium.

Two family-friendly short films, Planet Earth: Ice Worlds from BBC Earth and Dora & Diego's 4-D Adventure, rotate in our 4-D theater. The visual drama of these 3-D films is heightened by a variety of sensory effects in the theater, from water mist, blustery winds, and snow to bubbles, scents, seat vibrations, and enhanced floor lighting.

Our Most Popular Family Tradition! With new surprises...
Ever thought about catching some zzz’s in the company of zebras? How about snoozing with the snow leopards? Well, dreams come true on the Bronx Zoo’s Family Overnight Safari. After another sold-out series last year, our overnights are back!
As always, you and your family (children 5 and older) will be treated to fun-filled activities, such as Late Night at the Bronx Zoo, in which you meet a variety of amazing animal guests. Along with some new surprises and a late-night snack to keep the energy going, this extraordinary event is sure to create memories your family will treasure. Sign up soon – space is limited.
Bring your own tent, sleeping bags, and picnic dinner. Beverages, dessert, late-night snack, and breakfast, will be provided. No need for alarm clocks, our vocal sea lions will provide the wake-up call.
Overnights begin at 4:30pm and end at 10am the following day. Reserve a space in one of our four events now!

National Bison Day Festivities at the Bronx Zoo

We're celebrating National Bison Day with an array of bison-themed activities at the Bronx Zoo. Learn about these mighty mammals and our long history fighting to conserve them.
Event Highlights include: Scavenger Hunt - Put your observation skills to the test while working on a bison-inspired scavenger hunt that will lead you to a special prize; Bison Busters - True or False? A male bison can weigh up to a ton. See how well you know the American Bison by playing Bison Busters!; Bison Biofacts - Have you ever wondered what bison fur feels like or what their horn is made out of? Make sure to stop by the bison biofact table on Astor Court where you'll get to experience some amazing animal artifacts; Volunteer Chats - The Bronx Zoo Volunteers encourage you to visit them at the bison exhibit to learn about the largest land animal in North America. Bring your cameras - you won't want to miss a chance of snapping a shot of these American Icons.
