Newly renovated, but still retaining hints of its historic past, The Algonquin Hotel is eager to welcome you!
The Algonquin is located almost equi-distant between 5th Avenue shopping and the Times Square Theater District, making it an easy walk to everything that Midtown Manhattan offers, including Rockefeller Center, Central Park and all Broadway theaters.
History and literature buffs will relish a visit to the Hotel's famous Round Table Restaurant, a tribute to the great literary artists of the early 1920s who met for lunch daily at the Hotel. George S. Kaufman, Heywood Broun, Dorothy Parker, Robert Benchley and Edna Ferber were among this noted group who influenced the careers of other writers like F. Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemingway.
Of course the Hotel boasts contemporary conveniences in its rooms and its Blue Bar, lobby lounge and Round Table Restaurant.
I recently booked a package with your company for my wife and myself to celebrate our 42nd anniversary.
It included two nights at the Algonquin Hotel. show tickets to "Annie", a sunset cruise on the circle line, and tours of the Empire State building and Metropolitan Museum.
I just wanted to say that the package was wonderful! Everything went very smoothly.
The hotel room was charming . We were right at the starting point for the St. Patrick’s day parade and so had a great close up view of many of the various marchers.
Initially I was concerned about the theatre seats but they were great, row B on the aisle!!
I must say that everyone I contacted at NYCVP was very courteous, pleasant, and helpful.
Thanks for making our weekend getaway such a pleasant memory. Blessings," Pastor Robert G., Rockville Centre, NY
