General Info for New York City Hotels - The Algonquin Hotel
Newly renovated, but still retaining hints of its historic past, The Algonquin Hotel is eager to welcome you!

The Algonquin is located almost equi-distant between 5th Avenue shopping and the Times Square Theater District, making it an easy walk to everything that Midtown Manhattan offers, including Rockefeller Center, Central Park and all Broadway theaters.

History and literature buffs will relish a visit to the Hotel's famous Round Table Restaurant, a tribute to the great literary artists of the early 1920s who met for lunch daily at the Hotel. George S. Kaufman, Heywood Broun, Dorothy Parker, Robert Benchley and Edna Ferber were among this noted group who influenced the careers of other writers like F. Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemingway.

Of course the Hotel boasts contemporary conveniences in its rooms and its Blue Bar, lobby lounge and Round Table Restaurant.

"Hello!
I recently booked a package with your company for my wife and myself to celebrate our 42nd anniversary.
It included two nights at the Algonquin Hotel. show tickets to "Annie", a sunset cruise on the circle line, and tours of the Empire State building and Metropolitan Museum.
I just wanted to say that the package was wonderful! Everything went very smoothly.
The hotel room was charming . We were right at the starting point for the St. Patrick’s day parade and so had a great close up view of many of the various marchers.
Initially I was concerned about the theatre seats but they were great, row B on the aisle!!
I must say that everyone I contacted at NYCVP was very courteous, pleasant, and helpful.
Thanks for making our weekend getaway such a pleasant memory. Blessings," Pastor Robert G., Rockville Centre, NY

Blue Bar - This praised New York bar is a comfortable gathering spot for locals, visitors and business travelers alike, and a nightly meeting place for New York’s cultural and artistic elite. Here, stories and ideas are shared over perfectly poured martinis and cocktails. The atmosphere is at once comfortable and dynamic, and you never know who you might end up conversing with, or what you might overhear that could spark some ideas of your own.

The bar is enveloped by the artwork of longtime Algonquin regular, Al Hirschfeld. The pieces, donated by The Margo Feiden Galleries, feature Broadway shows past and present – Iincluding Rent, The Sound of Music, and Chicago.

Should you crave a little something to accompany your drink, the menu offers bar fare, complimenting a fine selection of wine, cocktails and domestic and imported beer.

The Blue Bar is open daily from 11:30am until 1:30am.

Lobby Lounge - The restored Algonquin Lobby – with writing desks and Edwardian furniture in deep jewel tones – retains the charm and ambiance forever associated with this landmark hotel. It is New York’s living room – a gathering spot throughout the day where hotel guests and locals congregate, and business travelers entertain. To further complement the needs of the many business travels who meet here, complimentary wireless Internet is available, and intimate arrangements of settees and chairs create the perfect environment for reading, writing and conversing.

The Lobby serves cocktails and lighter fare from The Algonquin's appetizer and snack menu.

Cocktails, tea, and coffee are served in the Lobby from noon to 4 pm, and cocktails are available throughout the evening.
