Her character is contrasted with that of her school roommate Glinda, who grows up to be the Good Witch.

Based on the imaginative Gregory Maguire novel, Wicked takes a fantasy journey through the unseen side of Oz, sharing a tale of unexpected friendship and love. Long before Dorothy arrives; two girls meet in the Land of Oz, one is born with emerald green skin and is smart, fiery, and misunderstood, and the other is beautiful, ambitious, and very popular.
