Hotel Restaurants and Bars

Hudson Bar - A team of design visionaries have reimagined Hudson Bar as a sophisticated tequila lounge. Reigniting its status as a top destination in Manhattan, the Jalisco-inspired lounge is the quintessential hotspot for New Yorkers and global travelers alike. Tucked away discreetly off the Hudson lobby, the new Hudson Bar represents the hotel’s next phase of innovative design. The completely transformed space transports guests to the famed blue agave fields of Jalisco.

Library Bar - Reminiscent of an old English club or drawing room, Library Bar at Hudson New York is the perfect cozy hangout for relaxing by the enormous fireplace, chatting and drinking with friends, shooting billiards, playing a computer game, or reading a book from its extensive collection, including topics ranging from film, theater, fashion and art, to travel and politics. An artful blend of old and new, Library Bar features an antique billiards table, classic English leather sofas and wing chairs, and antique area rugs.

Sky Terrace - New York’s best-kept secret, Sky Terrace rooftop bar at Hudson New York is an outdoor rooftop oasis on the hotel’s 15th floor. While soaking up the sun, guests can cool off with one of ten specialty sangrias including Red and White Wine, French Rosé, Pear-Limoncello and Kaffir Lime-Sake. Sky Terrace is the perfect city retreat for open-air lounging with unobstructed views of the Hudson River all the way to the Statue of Liberty. (Seasonal)

Private Park In the heart of Hudson’s elevated lobby is an enchanting Private Park with an inspired assortment of antique and modern garden furniture. Outfitted with a glass roof, this 1200 square foot space is Hudson’s own microcosm of Central Park. (Seasonal)

Room Overview

Inspired by the romance of transatlantic travel, Hudson’s hotel rooms transport you to another place and time without leaving the city. Exotic materials are celebrated, from richly paneled Makore wood walls to floors imported from Africa. Philippe Starck’s witty, modern style is complemented by the awe-inspiring design of bedside lamps by British x-ray photographer Nick Veasey. Indulge in the finest amenities, including cotton linens, plush down duvet and sumptuous Ciel Reserve bath amenities. All guestrooms at Hudson are non-smoking.

NYCVP Staff Reviews

My favorite hotel of all time. I never want to leave. I can see how locals would want to leave the hustle and bustle behind and unwind in one of the outdoor spaces. To me it’s a hidden treasure. Room sizes are a little small. - Jennifer
The Hudson Hotel is a very cool property with awesome public areas.  Rooms are not large but provide ample space for sleeping and luggage, you have the amenities necessary for a comfortable stay.  Hallways are narrow and a little dark but they tried to brighten them up with more lighting above the doors.  When staying at the Hudson you are going to want to spend your time in one of their public spaces not sitting in your room.  This is a great property for a younger client to stay at or even just visit and have a drink with friends.  They encourage their guest to take advantage of the public spaces by hosting different events and activities in those spaces.  - Becky
